About the Hines Heritage Trail

The Hines Heritage Trail is an approximately 17-mile trail running from Northville to Dearborn, Michigan. Wayne County Parks, the Michigan History Center, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, and the Wayne State University Department of History collaborated to develop interpretive elements along the trail, which document the region’s natural history and the diverse people who made it their home. Leah Buhagiar and Amber Harrison conducted the research for the project and Amber Harrison drafted the text.
